Coláiste Chiaráin Transition Year students participated in an orienteering challenge in Ballyhoura last Thursday. Mr. James Galvin, Transition Year Co-ordinator, set out a challenging 10km loop on the Ballinaboola section of the Ballyhoura range. Up to one hundred and twenty Transition Year students participated in the challenge.

In groups, they had to find 10 riddles hidden around the demanding circuit. The teachers that accompanied with the group were Mr. James Galvin, Ms. Edel Farrell (Year Head) and their class tutors Mr. Joe White, Ms. Fidelma Power and Ms. Sarah Martinez. The students successfully completed the 10km course and everyone really enjoyed the day out.
