Stephen Power, Crecora, Constance Ekwoge, Dooradoyle, James Daly, Father Russell Road and Dean Shanahan, Patrickswell are among a huge number of pupils who received 500 points or more!

This year also saw the first group to sit Computer Studies all of whom were very successful. Mr. Noel Malone and Deputy Principal Mr. Gerard O’Sullivan are delighted with the results this year and it marks a great start to the schools 75th year! Congratulations to our Build a Bank team!

Congratulations to all form IV students who had their awards ceremony on Monday 28th May. A great night was had by all!! Thank you to Mr. James O Shaughnessy, Dean Form IV, his Assistant Deans and teachers, Mr. Stephen MacFarlane, Mr. James Galvin, Mr. Matt Kelly and Mr. Conor Power who all made the night possible. Appreciation and recognition must also be given to Mr. Noel Malone (Principal) and Mr. Gerard O Sullivan (Deputy Principal) for the wonderful evening.

The night showcased a multitude of events that took place over the year including the American and Spanish exchanges, The Gaisce Award trip to Killarney and the annual trip to Killary. The students got the opportunity to speak about their fourth year experience in front of family and friends who attended the evening. The evening provided many memorable moments with many students experiencing the wrath of the dreaded Year Heads speech.

Congratulations to all Form IV students who received a number of awards in recognition of their participation in a number of different events, in particular, Karla Byrnes (Student of the Year 2012 Form IV), Lorraine O’Connor (Leadership Qualities 2012), Niamh O’Connor and Roisin Malone (Work Experience award) , Fiona Cronin (Academic Achievement 2012) , Erica Di Capitani  (Best Junior Certificate Results) and Michael O’Shea who won   (Gaeilgeoir na hIdirbhliana 2012).

A special word of thanks must go to our Parents Council, headed by Ms. Erica Shanley, and all the parents who provided delicious refreshments on the night!! They also provided refreshments for our Form VI graduation last week and we are truly grateful for their time and dedication in recent times and of course, throughout whole year!!

This ceremony was the first of its kind in Coláiste Chiaráin and it is a tradition that will long continue into our new school!!
