Homework Club Trip




A great day was had by our homework club who spent the day at the Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre yesterday. They took part in activities such as canoeing, wall climbing and orienteering.

Thank you to Mr. John Kelly and Ms Amy Gavin who organised the trip.

Second Year Basketball



Best of luck to our second year boys basketball team who are playing in the All Ireland play off this weekend in Cork. Our first year team were narrowly defeated at the same stage last weekend by Pobail Scoil Neasain, Baldoyle on the score line of 32.37. Our MVP (most valuable player) was Darius Gaurlika (Scorates)!!

Well done to all and to their coach Ms Mary Casey

Best of luck to Team Lightning Hawk who are competing in the F1 in schools final on Thursday 26th April. The team members are James Bridgeman, Roisin Malone, Jonathan O Brien, Eoin Moynihan, Dara Shanahan and Noel Malone. Thank you to Mr. Padraig McGarry and Mr. Francis O Farrell who advised the team.

All Ireland Chess Competition


Congratulations to our girls chess team who did very well in the All Ireland Chess Competition. Lisa Ruddle, Sofia Rainey, Niamh Brady Halmschlag and Zoe Keyes make up our team who said they "will win the competition next year!!" We all wish them the best of luck!!!

Success in the AILO


Coláiste Chiaráin are delighted to announce that we have been successful in the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad. Sixth year pupils Cian Lannon and Sophie Olsthoorn received a silver medal and a commendation respectively while fourth year student Erica de Capitani also got on very well considering it was her first time pariticpating in the competition!!
