Outside Buckingham Palace

Dara O'Farrell, who played the Lion in "The Wiz" accompanied by Trafalgar Square's Lion!!

Students from the cast of'The Wiz' accompanied by Mr. Colm Hanley and Ms. Mary-Kate Murphy explored the sights and sounds of a sun-drenched London yesterday. In spite of the early start the students were in high spirits as they were brought on a guided tour around the famous streets of England's capital city. Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Circus were among the sights visited before lunch in Leicester Square. The highlight of the day was definitely the production of "We Will Rock You" in the Dominion Theatre. It was an amazing show which everybody enjoyed thoroughly!!! A great day was had by all and credit to the students who were fantastic ambassadors for Coláiste Chiaráin.

Basketball success!!

Congratulations to the 2nd year boys basketball team who won the south east regional final yesterday!! In the quarter final they defeated Kilrush 32 points to 4 and Coláiste Na Sceilge in the semi final on a scoreline of  30 points to 18 to set up an exciting final against Tarbert. At half time Tarbert led 13 points to 4 but after a great second half preformance Matthew Sutton scored a 3 pointer with only seconds remaining on the clock to leave the final score 26 points to 23!! Well done to all involved!!!
