Wellbeing Walk in Ballyhoura

The first event of Mental Health week was a staff wellbeing walk. A group of teachers left the classroom for the tracks and trails of Ballyhoura woods, Ardpatrick. The walk followed refreshments in Deebert House, Kilmalock and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all.  This was the first of hopefully many staff wellbeing events to take place throughout the year.

Camogie Success

Great win for the girls today against Borrrisoleigh in first round of Munster Camogie competition!

5-15 to 4-5.  Well done Ms, Horgan and team..

U-19 Soccer

Our under 19 soccer team got their season off to a winning start with victory over an impressive St. Caimin’s side today. Captain Alan Kiely opened the scoring with an expertly placed free kick from just outside the box in the 30th minute. A late goal from the Shannon side meant the game was to be decided on penalties. Goalkeeper and man of the match Jamie Hickey was the key man in the shootout. With the teams level  3-3 after the first 6 penalties, he calmly stepped up to dispatch his own spot kick to the roof of the Shannon net. Following on from this he saved the next penalty clearing the way for vice-captain Jimmy Leslie to slot home the winning kick.

This is a very talented group of players who were a credit to the school in every aspect of their performance today. Onwards and upwards!
